About Retail Raves
Isn’t there enough negativity in the world, especially online? It seems like everybody can’t wait to run and tell everyone about something they’re not happy about, but hardly anyone ever takes the time to share their positive opinions. The simple truth on the internet seems to be, if you can’t say something negative don’t say anything at all.
If online reviews are to be believed, hardly any companies should be in business anymore – the ratio of negative to positive reviews could lead you to believe that nearly all customers have unpleasant retail experiences nearly every time. In reality, the vast majority of transactions run smoothly: you want stuff, you buy stuff, you’re happy. It’s just that no one takes the time to let the world know that they had a simple, trouble-free transaction. Consumers may take to the internet to post a positive review if a retailer went above and beyond the call of duty, but the ordinary, everyday transactions that go exactly as they should are never reported.
That’s where RetailRaves.com comes in! There are plenty of review sites that include both positive and negative reviews, and a whole bunch that specialize in only complaints, but hardly any that accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative. If you’ve only got a few seconds to let the world know you’ve had a simple, pleasant transaction, just submit a star rating on that retailer’s page. If you’ve got more to rave about, feel free to leave a detailed post about it.
All reviews submitted to RetailRaves.com are examined by an administrator before posting to the site. Negative reviews will not be posted – there are plenty of other sites where they can be shared, but not here. We’re offering the other side of the coin to all those negative review sites. We’re not trying to help lousy businesses stay in business – we believe in the power of the free market and that if a company is consistently failing their customers, they won’t stay in business very long. We just think that all retailers deserve a fair shake, and want to offer an alternative to online reviews that currently unfairly skew far to the negative end of the spectrum.
